Police raided the home of former Federal Court judge Marcus Einfeld this morning, as part of a lengthy investigation into evidence he gave to avoid a $77 speeding fine.
Detectives from the State Crime Command raided his Woollahra home about 8am this morning, and seized his "computer equipment".
It will now undergo forensic examination, a spokeswoman for Strike Force Chanter told smh.com.au.
She would make no further comment.
By earlier this week, he had yet to be interviewed by police about apparently misleading evidence he gave while on oath, although he has provided what he calls a dossier to police which he is confident will clear his name.
It is now a month since Mr Einfeld told the Downing Centre Local Court he lent his silver Lexus to a woman, who, it emerged, died three years before the fine was incurred in January.
The apparent inconsistency was discovered by a newspaper subeditor using the search engine, Google.
Since then, two more allegations of Mr Einfeld using false alibis to avoid traffic fines have emerged, both while he was still a judge, while his business reputation has also taken a battering.
