All of this Steve Irwin business has reminded me of another great Australian hero who slipped out of public eye as easily as he slipped out of his jeans and into his g-banger.
Troy Dann paved the way for the likes of Irwin, or Russell Coight. He walked the way of the Bush Tucker Man, the Leyland Brothers, but not Alby Mangels. That man is sick. Troy loves his horse, his dog, his g-string, and his helichopter.
Most of all, he loves you, Australia.
