Happy Happy Joy Joy

In a break with the widely accepted tradition of abusing the person who helps you, I had a customer today who said thank you. THANK YOU! AND, she came in later with a box of chocolates. You know, if more people were to be kind to each other, we clerks would probably smoke and drink less, and be more considerate in general. Oh sure, there’ll still be the occasional narc, but that happens in any industry. We don’t need to let another bright-eyed kid fall to the cynicism, the pessimism, and the alcoholism that surely accompanies modern retail. Invest in the future, people of the world! Take kindness by the balls and refuse to let go. After all, it’ll probably be your kid working for me in a few years time.
