Potter Evil, Stalin & Hitler Possessed

Yup, and the Catholic Church wants to be taken seriously. Rome's chief exorcist has labeled Harry Potter as evil, and said Hitler and Stalin were 'posessed by the Devil.' This coming from an ancient organization led by scary old men who brought you such highlights as 'Inquisition!" and "Let's burn those who disagree with us!" And sure, good ole Mummy Church has quieted down it's productions in recent years ("Deny The Holocaust" was almost ignored), but they've shown they still have that certain something that producers look for on the casting couch.

Not convinced they're all that bad? Pope Nazi XVI is only a simple hat choice away from being Grand Wizard of the KKK. Nazis hated Jews, so does the KKK. Coincidence?

anyone who makes a goose of themselves in front of the world deserves to have things thrown at them by the audience. i mean EVIL? COME ON! and that whole hitler stalin thing, it's not enough that they were bad men? THE DEVIL? dude...
look, i hear what you're saying, but remember who we're talking about. mother teresa was nice, so was john paul II. Vatican has lost it's mind in the last year though. gregorian chants... weirdos.

Hey muddfx, I'm back again. Did you miss me?

Your post is kinda confused. Is the Vatican for or against Nazis/KKK? First they say that Hitler was possessed by the devil and then you say that Pope Benedict the 16th could easily be part of the KKK....

Better decide which is true. You can't be both for and against the devil. (And yes, since I am not a relativist, I think that the KKK is evil).

Hi! perhaps you could sort out fact from fiction before you post stuff on your blog. The article you refered to is below, and it does not refer to Harry Potter at all. The interviewee is not the Vatican's chief excorsist either, and what has the comment "deny the holocaust" got to do with anything, let alone the Catholic Church. where did the K.K.K. reference come from, but since you brought it up, it's a good example of people inventing quasi religions, to suit there own views.

The last two paragraphs of this article should be of interet to you too.

The horror of Nazi and Soviet actions has convinced an Italian exorcist that Stalin as well as Hitler and other Nazis "were all possessed by the devil."

"Therefore, society also needs to be defended against the devil," he said.

"If one thinks of what was committed by people like Stalin or Hitler, certainly they were possessed by the devil. This is seen in their actions, in their behaviour and in the horrors they committed," said Pauline Fr Gabriele Amorth in an interview this week with Vatican Radio.

"The devil can possess not only individuals but also entire groups and populations. ... I am convinced that the Nazis were all possessed by the devil," he added.

Fr Amorth, who works as an exorcist in the Diocese of Rome, says that demonic influence is also strong in today's world, affecting individuals and sometimes entire societies, Catholic News Service reports.

He says every culture in history has shown an awareness of the existence of evil spirits. With the Bible, he said, these spirits were identified as rebellious angels who "tempt man to evil out of hatred for God."

Fr Amorth said he thought one reason why the devil's influence was high today is that Christian faith has weakened, replaced in many cases by superstition and an interest in the occult, which he said "open the way to demonic influences."

Exorcism, he said, is a prayer made in the name of the church to liberate people stricken by the devil or by his evil influences.

Fr Amorth gained notoriety in 2000 when he revealed that Pope John Paul II had performed an impromptu exorcism on a young woman who flew into an apparent rage at the end of a general audience at the Vatican.

In 1999, the Vatican issued a revised Rite of Exorcism, cautioning that cases of actual possession by devils were probably very rare.

The church also has emphasised that before an exorcism is performed, it is important to make certain one is dealing with the devil and not a psychological or other illness.

maybe I should connect the dots for you. Pope's robes look strangely similar to those worn by high ranking members of the KKK. I compared him to Nazis who share KKK values because Ratzinger is German. Actually, wasn't he in the army..?
and i'm gonna stand by my comments on Hitler and Stalin. THEY WERE BAD! "anon"s article contradicts itself several times and so removes itself from play.
finally, "inventing quasi-religions" isn't that catholicism? "Ummm, the Bible doesn't say this, but I reckon it's true so... therefore it's true, I'm the pope, don't disagree with me." bunch of easily led sheep that are too afraid to actually read their bibles and think about what they say lest they fall into heresy like Martin Luther, or the countless others listed in Foxes Book of Martyrs.
Look, if we simply sit back and allow people to get away with nonsense like "hitler is the devil" then that contributes to a general stupidity in our society. Rather than disagreeing with me because i snapped the pope, how about thinking about what's happening? if you're catholic, great, but READ YOUR BIBLE! see that some of your doctrines CAN'T be resolved with the actual bible, then go and THINK about what that means. maybe the political nature of the catholic church has something to do with those doctrines? Ratzinger looks silly in his robes, Hitler and Stalin were bad men and who cares if they were possessed or not, and Harry Potter is evil not for witchcraft but becuase he doesn't make a play at that Hermione chick. Come ON Harry! She's a cutie!

We agree about one thing, that Hermione chick's a cutie!

But as for joining the dots, perhaps you should have started at the other end because you have it round the wrong way, the KKK robe to look like the Pope, because they think it gives them authority. But Jesus said (Matt 28;18) “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Having that authority Jesus said to Simon, (Mat 16:18-19) And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Having that authority given by Jesus himself, Peter said, (Acts 1:21-26) ‘“So one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us--one of these must become a witness with us to his resurrection.” So they proposed two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also known as Justus, and Matthias. Then they prayed and said, “Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles.’

You see the Bible does back up the Pope, because Jesus gave authority to Peter, and Peter used that authority to appoint another to succeed Judas, this is where succession comes from, Jesus giving the authority to Peter and Peter using that authority, replaces bishops. The bishops chose one from amongst themselves to replace Peter.

So you are saying that Jesus invented a quasi religion, because the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches are the only Christian denominations that can trace their hereditary pattern in an unbroken line, back to Christ?

Try reading Matt 9:33 or Matt 15:22 or Matt 17:18 or Mark 7:26, etc, etc. Perhaps you should read your Bible, because in John’s Gospel (John 8:44-45) Jesus says, “You are from your father the devil, and you choose to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.” So if there were people who chose the devil in Jesus time why would you think there are none who would choose the devil now?

As for the robes which seem to worry you so much, the Pope wears a chasuble, which is a seamless vestment worn by a priest when celebrating Mass, because (John 19:23) When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four parts, one for each soldier. They also took his tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from the top.

Perhaps you should be less inclined to listen to people who know little and find out for yourself what the Catholic Church is.
